I hope you've all been well. I've finally recovered! and will be back in tomorrow. Tomorrow we have a morning Liturgy to celebrate Advent, please come and join us in the Hall at 8.50 am. On Thursday we have our 'Christmas Themed' athletics carnival from 5.30-6.30 pm! This includes a sausage sizzle. If you are interested in purchasing a hot dog, then please send your order (quantity per family) and money in a named envelope to our class by Tuesday. Please bring a picnic basket and rug too!

Hi all!
I hope you are having a great weekend! The 'Living Eggs Hatching Program' has wrapped up. The Preps were sad to see them leave as they said goodbye on Friday :( Hopefully some will be back in our chicken coop sometime next year! Thank-you to Amy Cagney for being our parent helper last week in the kitchen, it was our last cooking and gardening session for the year! (aprons, gardening shirts and gumboots will be sent home). We have our St Augustine's Got Talent show on the 11 December @ 12pm, only two acts from each class can be chosen so if your child is interested in performing please let me know.
I have been doing some one-on-one reading with the Preps and it's great to hear how far they've come along since the start of the year! Keep up the great work...only 2.5 more weeks to go until the end of the school year!?!

Hello everyone!
The 'Living Eggs Hatching Program' is well under way, with the children very excited to have them in our classroom. We were very lucky to have witnessed one of them hatch!!! This Tuesday we have our last Cooking and Gardening session for the year, please let me know if you are able to come and help us in the kitchen or garden. On Monday our Book Fair begins, children and parents are able to visit the Hall before and after school to look at some great books and resources to purchase. The children will be making a wish list too so I'm sure you'll be hearing all about it! We have our working Bee next Saturday from 8:00 am—12:00 noon, we would love your support as your help is very much appreciated!

Hello all!
It's week 6 already, only 5 1/2 weeks to go! Firstly I want to thank those who helped organise the Prep BBQ on Friday, it was a great event and the current Preps did a great job with assisting the new Preps. Thank you all for welcoming the new Preps, and their families into our school community. Every Friday, for the next 3 weeks, the new Preps will come to school mid morning to begin the transition process. I cant believe it's been a year since the current Preps started their transition process!
The 'Living Eggs Hatching Program' begins tomorrow! They'll be lots of discussion about our baby chicks for the next few weeks. On Wednesday we have a Remembrance Day Liturgy and a special assembly which you are all welcome to attend. This Friday we will have our whole school photo taken! and on Sunday we have our last Parish Mass at our school, we hope to see you there! This Tuesday there will be an Ancient Animals card swap in Miss Rowlands Prep R room at 11:00 am, first lunch. Please bring along all your spares and a list of what cards you need or your named animal card books, to see what you still need!
Also, it would be great if anyone wanted to come in and talk to the Preps about our bodies and the important jobs our organs/body parts have. Please let me know if you're interested.

Hello everyone!
I hope you've enjoyed the weekend. Thank you to the parent/grand parent helpers we had last week for our Cooking and Gardening program, it's always great to have helpers! (photos below). As we continue to learn more about our bodies, I was hoping if anyone wanted to come in and talk to the Preps about our bodies and the important jobs our organs/body parts have. This Friday we have our Prep BBQ from 5.30-7.30 pm. Thank you to those who have volunteered to help run the event, this will give the Prep teachers the opportunity to mingle with families and talk to the new Preps! It would be great to see everyone at the BBQ to welcome the new families to our school community. Please RSVP by returning the slip on Wednesday (please email me if you did not receive the invitation). I hope to see you all there!
